October Caddis Pupae Tying Instructions
Many of our products are used and recommended by internationally known fly fishermen.
They call for them in their books and magazines because of their flash, color, and resilience
and because they excel in attracting fish. Here is what some of the fishermen have to say:
"Estaz® is the most effective body material I have found for pike, steelhead and salt water patterns." - Steve Probasco
"Estaz®Metallique is easily the most versatile and practical fly tying material I have seen
come down the pike in recent years. I've incorporated it in many of my existing patterns." -
T. Borski
"Braid
Ribbon is the best tinsel I have ever used for covering lead on my Atlantic salmon patterns."
- Jim
Bashline, former editor of Field & Stream
The light reflective body fiber of our Petite Estaz®, a smaller version of our regular Estaz,
is available in 38 dazzling colors. Petite Estaz lends itself well to the tying of smaller
trout, steelhead, bass, and salmon flies.
The highly reflective body of our Estaz®,
Metallique fiber mimics colors and hues that surround it. Available in eight
brilliant colors including gold and silver, this quality makes it the perfect material for flies
that require bright, vibrant color.
Braid
Ribbon is a metallic tinsel available in 2mm and 4mm sizes and makes an excellent
choice as body material for streamers and hair wings. Unraveled Braid Ribbon is an
excellent streamer material. Twisted and wound, Braid Ribbon produces a multi-segmented
looking body and makes it easy to obtain a bulky body if desired. Prizm™, a super strong holographic fiber available in six sparkling colors on spools or packaged. Packages come with a special seventh mixed-color package. Prizm's™ holographic properties and stiffness make it a true fish-catching wing, tail, and ribbing material. |
